Beginning his career as a proprietary trader in 2001, Barnaby secured backing from a brokerage firm to trade on the Eurex, quickly achieving substantial success. By 2003, he was trading his own capital profitably.

Between 2009—16 he ran Cardwell Investment Technologies which pioneered the use of technology and quantitative research for short-term futures trading. His clients included various pension funds, HNW and other investors.

His journey evolved into investing and advising early-stage companies. Fueled by an interest in psychology and performance coaching, he recently joined the ICF and is now coaching traders and ambitious business leaders.
